Bhubaneswar: A four-member delegation from the Directorate of Skill Development, Government of Tripura, will visit Odisha on January 13, 2026, to study the state’s successful skill development programs and operational framework.
The delegation, led by Pradeep K., Director of the Directorate of Skill Development, Tripura, aims to gain insights into Odisha’s best practices, including training methodologies, industry engagement, infrastructure utilisation, and overall operational models. The initiative is part of Tripura’s plan to replicate a similar skill development framework in the state.
In preparation for the visit, the Skill Development and Technical Education (SDTE) Department, Government of Odisha, has directed the Directorate of Skill Development and the CEO of Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) to coordinate arrangements for accommodation, transportation, and other logistical support. A liaison officer will also be appointed to ensure the smooth conduct of the visit.
During the visit, the Tripura delegation is scheduled to tour the World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar to study Odisha’s advanced training infrastructure and innovative approaches to skill development.
