Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is moving forward with plans to construct a second bridge at Trisulia to alleviate growing traffic congestion between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, informed the Minister of Works Prithviraj Harichandan.
Harichandan’s reply came in response to a question raised by Congress MLA Sofia Firdous, highlighting the need for improved infrastructure to ease traffic congestion between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The Minister further informed the Assembly that the project is currently in the tendering phase, with the Odisha Bridges and Construction Corporation (OBCC) Ltd. handling the process.
The Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been completed and administrative approval has been granted. The estimated project cost is a substantial Rs. 297.59 crore. Once the tender process is finalized, construction work is expected to commence, with a targeted completion period of 36 calendar months, revealed the Minister.
