Bargarh: In a tragic incident, four labourers were killed and another critically injured, when a borewell truck ran over them in Birjam village under Melchamunda police, limits in Odisha’s Bargarh district on Wednesday night.
The identity of the labourers is yet to be ascertained.
According to reports, the labourers were digging a well in the village when the driver of the borewell truck lost control of the wheel and ran over them. The injured has been admitted to a local health center while the bodies of the deceased were sent for autopsy.
On being informed, Melchamunda police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the incident. The truck driver has been detained.
