**Bhubaneswar:** Aiming at improving cooperation in the tourism and social housing sectors with Odisha, Hyderabad-based Turkey Consul General in India Arda Ulutas called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here on Thursday.
Visibly elated after the maiden meeting, Ulutas told media, “I’m the first Turkish official visiting Odisha. It’s quite a historic moment that I talked to the Chief Minister. We’re ready to start and improve our relation with the State of Odisha. We can have many many common projects in the fields of tourism and social housing. We have excellent knowhow in the tourism sector. We’re the sixth this nation in the world. So we’re ready to help the Odisha State to start good cooperation in a win-win basis. This is the first step, but not the last one. May be we are late on this market. But, we have our heart. And I think this is most important.”
On being queried when the project will come up, he informed, “We’re first trying to get here the organisation. We have an excellent organisation on tourism sector called TURSAB. May be soon we can get some visit from them here. And they can sign some MoU with their Odisha counterpart. And we can start the cooperation like that.”
On being further enquired if Turkey is going to invest in Odisha, the Turkish Consul General in India replied, “Let’see. The organisation has to reach here and meet together. They have to sign some MoU to definite the basis of the cooperation. And then the investment will come soon. First we have to know each other.”
