Bhubaneswar: The Twin City police on Monday busted a fake detergent and salt factory at Shiv Shakti Nagar under Pahala police limits.
The police were tipped off about operation of a fake washing powder and salt making unit here, following which a raid was planned, the police said.
The products were being manufactured under the labels of Surf Excel and Tata Salt at a unit in Shiv Sakti Nagar within its limits. A team led by ACP Zone IV carried out a raid and sealed the unit, DCP Prateek Singh said.
“A manhunt has been launched. The accused persons running this factory will be arrested soon,” he added.
