Twin City Shopkeepers Violating Covid-19 Norms For Raja Festival To Be Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The shopkeepers who are found violating Covid-19 restriction for the upcoming Raja festival in the twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar may face arrest, informed Police Commissioner Soumendra Kumar Priyadarsi on Thursday.

The Commissioner said that overcrowding in violation of Covid-19 norms was noticed yesterday across the markets in the twin city in view of Sabitri Puja and Raja festival. While the action was taken against violators, he said that it is necessary that the denizens should cooperate with the police administration.

Priyadarsi warned that any shopkeeper who tries to sell clothes illegally in view of Raja festival in violation of the norms will face strict action, their shops will be sealed and they may also face arrest.
