Bhubaneswar: The twin sisters from Ganjam district not only look identical but seem to possess identical intellect. We are talking about twin sisters Karina and Karisma Biswal, students of Saraswati Sishu Mandir at Balugaon in Ganjam district.
They look alike which is very common among twins. In what could be called a rarest of rare phenomenon, the twin sisters scored the exact same marks in their Class X board examinations the results of which were declared on Sunday.
Karina and Karisma, who had appeared for class X examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), have secured identical marks (552/600) which surprised not only their teachers and family members but also the residents of Berhampur town. Most interestingly, both of them scored 99 in Hindi.
They are daughters of a homemaker Jhunu Sahu and Kartik Sahu, who works in a private firm in Uttar Pradesh.
It is learnt that the twin sisters cross-checked their marks three to four times after seeing the same marks on the result day. Though they did not expect to score the same marks, they seemed very happy as they scored the same marks.
Not this time, Karina and Karisma had earlier also secured identical marks in school as well, sources said.
As they look alike, it used to be difficult for their teachers to identify them. That’s why they wear different coloured frames to look dissimilar.
Though they have scored the same in the board examinations, their ambitions are not the same. While Karishma wants to be a professor, Karina aspires to be a banker.
Both the sisters, however, have decided to pursue Plus II science in a same college before fulfilling their dreams.
