Two Anganwadi Kids Meet Watery Grave In Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: Two students of an Anganwadi Centre at Keshadiha village under Thakurmunda block in Mayurbhanj district drowned while taking a bath in a pond.

The deceased children have been identified as Sambit Hanhaga and Rajesh Mahakud.

According to sources, Sambit and Rajesh went for taking bath in a pond after the closure of the Anganwadi centre on Tuesday. However, they drowned due to inattentiveness.

One of their friends saw them drowning and informed the villagers. By the time villagers reached and rescued them, it was too late.

After being rescued, they were rushed to Thakurmunda Community Health Centre where doctors declared them dead.

The death of two kids has sent shockwaves in the locality.
