Two Arrested For Forging Matric Admit Card In Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Two people were arrested on charges of forging matric admit card during the ongoing Matriculation examination of State Institute of Open School here.

The Class X board exams for open schools began today and are being held at Commissioner Colony High School in Dhanupali of Sambalpur.

As per the press note by Dhanupali police, one Kamala Seth was all set to appear the exam as Laxmi Meher instead of Laxman Meher (28). The duo had forged Laxman’s admit card to change the name and picture.

The fraud was caught by Centre Superintendent Binati Mishra who then informed Dhanupali police and lodged a case under IPC Sections 419, 420, 468, 471 with Section 9 of The Orissa Conduct of Examination Act-1998.

Upon investigation, conspirator Laxman and conspirator Kamala were arrested.
