Rourkela: Police on Sunday arrested two youths in connection with a snatching incident reported under the jurisdiction of Sector-19 Police Station in Rourkela town of Sundargarh district.

The accused were identified as Abhisek Nag alias Abhi (22), a resident of Sector-16, and Subrat Kumar Swain alias Hritik (22), a resident of Sector-6.

According to police, the arrests followed an investigation into a bag-snatching incident that took place on December 31, 2025.

Police said the duo, riding a motorcycle, allegedly snatched a bag containing cash and valuables from a woman near Fitness Park. Acting on leads, the police traced and apprehended the suspects and subsequently solved the case.
