Two Brothers Drown, Mother Missing As Boat Capsizes In Rengali Dam

Bhubaneswar: Two children died and their mother went missing when a boat capsized at Rengali Dam near Taleisar under Kundheigola police station in Deogarh police station late Wednesday night.

The deceased elder son has been identified as Ayush, while the younger son is Riyanshu. Their mother has been identified as Jyotsna.

As per reports, the family had ventured into the reservoir for fishing when their boat suddenly overturned. After the boat overturned, the father managed to reach the shore despite strong currents while his two sons drowned in the mishap. The bodies of both children have been recovered, while search efforts continue for the missing mother.

Meanwhile, Kundheigola police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
