Cuttack: At least two police personnel sustained injuries after being attacked by a group of women belonging to Khamara Nuagaon village under Gurudijhatia police limits on Tuesday.
The incident took place when land measurement activity by a private cement company was underway. The women from Kolathapangi Lane showed up at the spot and attacked the police personnel and others.
According to reports, the local IIC Ranjan Kumar Pradhan and ASI Sakuntala Das of Athagarh police sustained injuries. They were shifted to the hospital for treatment while one platoon force led by Choudwar SDPO has been deployed to check further escalation of the situation.
