Bhubaneswar: The State Vigilance on Thursday carried out raids on the premises of two officials and unearthed assets worth more than one crore rupees in each case.
In the first case, the premises of Samaleswari Milk Union Limited (SAMUL) Deputy Manager, Kishore Kumar Naik was raided by the sleuths. During the search at multiple locations, the Vigilance detected movable and immovable assets worth Rs 1.41 crore owned by Naik and his family members.
Four teams of the Vigilance led by two DSP-ranked officers conducted searches in this case with warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.
In another case, the Vigilance carried out searches on the premises of Bairagi Charan Behera, Forest Range Officer of K Nuagaon Range in Kandhamal district. During the searches, the sleuths detected assets worth Rs 1.05 crore owned by Behera and his relatives.
Total 7 teams of the Vigilance carried our raids in connection with this matter, with search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Phulbani. Further searches are on, in both the cases, the Vigilance stated.
