Two Daily Labourers Arrested For Gangraping Woman In Rourkela

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, Plant Site police arrested two daily labourers for allegedly gang-raping a young woman in Rourkela.

The accused are reported to have brought the victim, who is also a daily labourer, from Bonai and checked her into a hotel, where they committed the crime, sources said.

According to police sources, the victim was held captive for several days and subjected to repeated gangrape. The accused later abandoned the victim and fled the scene.

On Thursday, police rescued the gangrape victim from railway track. It was then the victim narrated her ordeals to police about the incident. Police later took her for medical examination and launched an investigation. The victim was later sent to Sakhi Centre.

Based on the victim’s statement, police arrested two accused.
