Rourkela: Two persons, including a minor boy, died after the gate of a private school fell on them in Sector 9 area in Rourkela on Thursday night.
The deceased have been identified as Gandhiram Rout (58), a security guard at the school, and Suresh Choudhury (16), son of another security guard.
Gandhiram was on duty at the main gate last night when Suresh, son of the other security guard Tribeni Choudhury, had gone to fetch water. Gandhiram asked him to help in closing the gate.
As they were closing the gate, it fell on them. While Gandhiram died on the spot, Suresh was rushed to Ispat General Hospital (IGH), where he passed away during treatment.
