Two Dead, Four Critically Injured As Omni Van Collides With Truck In Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Two persons died and four sustained injuries when a Maruti Omni van was hit by a Hyva truck on the highway at Koida area in Sundargarh district.

As per reports, the iron-laden truck lost its balance and collided with an Omni van carrying labourers from Koida to a nearby plant. The accident left two persons dead and four persons injured. The injured have been rescued and admitted to Koida hospital. Due to their critical condition, they are likely to be shifted to Rourkela for further treatment.

The Omni van, which was heading to a command plant from Koida, was severely damaged in the collision.

The identities of the deceased have not been confirmed yet. The police have reached the accident site and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the mishap.

Meanwhile, the truck driver has been detained.
