Koraput: In a daring incident, two accused who were detained on charges of abducting a minor boy, overpowered constables and escaped from the Nandpur police station in Odisha’s Koraput district on Sunday. While the police succeeded in arresting one accused, the other is said to be absconding till the time of writing this report.
According to reports, Nandpur police detained two accused on Sunday afternoon for allegedly abducting a minor boy. In the evening, one of them came out of the police station on some pretext. When he tried to jump the wall of the police station, some constables tried to stop him but he overpowered them and fled the area. Another accused followed suit but the cops nabbed him.
Meanwhile, Nandpur police have launched a manhunt for the absconding accused.
