Two Die As Speeding Car Collides With Bus In Khordha

Bhubaneswar: Two persons died and two others injured due to a collision between a car and a passenger bus on National Highway 57 (NH-57) near Pichukuli Adarsha Vidyalaya in Khordha district, on Wednesday.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when a speeding Maruti Suzuki car collided head-on with a passenger bus travelling from Visakhapatnam to Bhubaneswar.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely mangled, trapping a man and a woman inside. Both occupants of the car succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

The passenger bus, which veered off the road after the collision, had two passengers who sustained minor injuries. The identities of the deceased couple have not been confirmed, but it is suspected that they were husband and wife.

The road mishap sparked outrage among locals as police delayed reaching the accident spot.

Meanwhile, police began an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the tragic mishap.
