Two Different Road Accidents Claim Five Lives In Odisha

**Angul/Nayagarh:** In two separate road accidents at least five persons were killed in Angul and Nayagarh districts on Sunday late night.

According to reports, three people were killed near Pedipathar panchayat of Thakurgarh Police limits here on Sunday night.

The men were going from Athmalik to Pedipathar on a bike when an unidentified vehicle hit them following which the biker lost control over the bike and slid down the road. All three of them died on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Permananda Dalei, Thakia Dalei of Pedipathar and Ranjit Rout of Sindurkhol area. Agitated over the accident, the locals blocked the Boinda-Pedipathar main road demanding compensation for the families of all the deceased.

The police have reached the spot and are investigating into the matter.

In yet another road accident, two people died after a potato laden truck collided with a tree at Kachera Sahi under Fatehgarh police limits in Nayagarh district on Sunday night. The driver fled the spot.

Meanwhile, police have seized the dead bodies and have started their investigation into the incident.
