Keonjhar: Two elephants reportedly died after being hit by a goods train on Daitari rail track under Tangriapal panchayat in the district on Monday night.
The mishap took place under Brahmanipal range when a herd of elephants was crossing the track, reports stated.
The Forest Department officials, including Anandpur DFO, have reached the spot and initiated an investigation amid reports one more elephant has been injured in the accident.
