Two Fatal Accidents Claim Four Lives in Bhadrak & Nayagarh

Bhubaneswar: As many as four persons died and three sustained injuries in two separate road mishaps in the wee hours of Tuesday at Bhadrak and Nayagarh districts.

According to sources two persons died and three sustained injuries when an SUV hit a roadside parked truck from the rear on NH-16 near Nalanga Sai Temple in Bhadrak district.  The passengers travelling in the SUV were going to Puri from West Bengal when the mishap took place.  Two of the passengers died on the spot and three others received severe injuries.  The injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. Police are trying to establish the identities of the passengers who died in the fatal mishap.

The truck driver reportedly fled the scene after the accident, said police adding that a manhunt is on to nab the truck driver.

In a separate road accident, two siblings were killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Bolgath Gendi Mundia  Square on late Monday night. The accident took place when they were returning home.  They belong to Banusiapada Banamalipur. Bolgarh police rushed to the spot and seized their bodies for post-mortem.
