Bhubaneswar: Two scheduled flights from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar were cancelled on Thursday.
According to BPIA Director Prasanna Pradhan, one flight was cancelled due to national security-linked airspace restrictions in parts of northern and western India, while the other was grounded due to technical constraints.
The affected flights included one heading to Ghaziabad’s Hindon airport and another connecting Patna to Chandigarh via Bhubaneswar. Pradhan confirmed that the cancellations were precautionary and in line with directives issued by aviation authorities amid heightened alert.
