Two Girl Students Die By Suicide In Separate Incidents In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Two minor girl students allegedly died by suicide in Balasore and Cuttack districts on Thursday.

In the first incident, which took place in Balasore district, the deceased has been identified as Rajashree Senapati, a Class VII student of Gambharia School under Bhograi Police Station.

According to reports, Rajashree allegedly hanged herself from a tree in front of her house after returning home from school for lunch. Her father claimed that she took the extreme step due to some distressing situation at school. Upon receiving information, Bhograi police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Similarly, in a separate incident in Cuttack district, a Class X student, identified as Shubhasmita Dash from Dhenkanal district, allegedly died by suicide.

According to reports, Shubhasmita had a disagreement with the hostel warden before the incident. Her family has lodged a formal complaint at Lalbag Police Station, alleging that her death was a premeditated murder. Following the complaint, Lalbag Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
