Cuttack: Two hardcore prisoners reportedly escaped from Cuttack’s Chaudwar Jail last night by cutting through the special cell grill and using a bamboo stick to climb over the wall.
Two prisoners, both from Bihar, have escaped from jail by cutting through the special cell grill when the city was engrossed in Dussehra celebration. A search operation has been launched to apprehend the fugitives.
According to reports, the escaped prisoners had been arrested for their involvement in the loot case in Panikoili. During the loot, the duo allegedly opened fire at the jewellery store staff, killing him in the spot. They were caught by locals at the scene and later handed over to the police.
