Bhubaneswar: Khandagiri police on Tuesday arrested two men and seized a small quantity of cough syrup bottles near Udayagiri in Khandagiri.
The accused have been identified as Sarat Kumar Paltasingh and Sukant Kumar Paltasingh, residents of Jagamara area in Bhubaneswar.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a medicine shop allegedly operated by the duo, where cough syrup was being sold illegally. Both were taken into custody during the operation.
The police have initiated further investigation into the matter.
