Bhubaneswar: Police arrested two persons for allegedly threatening former Odisha PCC president Jayadev Jena with death via WhatsApp. Jena had filed a complaint at Nandipada police station in this regard.
As per reports, Jena, a former minister and Odisha PCC president, received a WhatsApp death threat warning him not to visit Bhubaneswar.
Jena promptly filed a complaint at the Nandipada police station in Keonjhar district on the same day. He had alleged that despite informing high-level authorities—including the Chief Minister, the Director General of Police (DGP), and the Keonjhar Superintendent of Police (SP)—no concrete action has been taken by the police so far.
This is not the first such incident for the senior leader. He reportedly received a similar death threat in 2025, highlighting a pattern of intimidation.
