Sundargarh: Two hockey players got electrocuted at Gariamal village under Rajgangpur block in Sundargarh district on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Birendra Kujur(15) and Sujal Ekka(17).
Reportedly, the two were returning after a hockey match when their coach called to pick up an electric wire that had snapped and fallen on the road. It was when they tried to lift the wire, electricity from the main wire ran into it.
They were rescued by locals and rushed to Rajgangpur Hospital where the doctor declared them dead.
