Balangir/Nabarangpur: Two people died and 15 school students were injured in separate road accidents in Balangir and Nabarangpur respectively on Wednesday morning.
In the first mishap, a speeding Scorpio hit a truck parked on the side of the road near Burd Street today morning killing two in the collision. The driver of the truck had gone to have tea and when he returned and sat on his seat a speeding Scorpio hit the truck. The accident was so severe that the collision moved the truck to some distance. The driver of the truck and another person died in the mishap.
Fifteen school children sustained varying degrees of injuries when the driver of the bus lost control of the wheel and crashed against a tree near Mohra in Chandahandi block of Nabarangpur district. The students were on their way to Adams School in Chandahandi Sadar Block of the district. All the injured have been admitted to Chandahandi Health Centre.
