Sundargarh: At least two persons, including a minor girl, died on the spot and 20 sustained various degrees after a private bus coming from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela collided against a Hyva truck near Chandiposh early Monday morning. The condition of two injured passengers is said to be critical.
The critically injured passengers have been admitted to the Rourkela JP Hospital, while others are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the steel city.
According to reports, the mishap occurred when a private bus ‘Prabha bus coming from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela hit a Hyva truck near National Highway No. 143 in Chandiposh on Monday morning. The bus hit a Hyva truck parked on the roadside from behind.
One passenger died on the spot while the other breathed his last at the hospital.
