Dhenkanal: Two people were killed on the spot and three critically injured when the driver of the car they were travelling by lost control of the wheel and rammed against a tree on Bhapur Meeulpunji road in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district.
The deceased have been identified as Somnath Sahu and Bhaskar Sahu.
According to reports, five people, who had come to attend a feast, were travelling by car to fetch water. On the way, the vehicle hit a tree on Bhapur Meeulpunji road under Dhenkanal Sadar police limits. The three injured have been admitted to Dhenkanal District Hospital (DHH).
All five people hailed from the Khurda district in Odisha.
