Two Killed As Car Hits Stationary Truck On City Outskirts

Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed after a car in which they were traveling hit a stationary truck on NH 16 near Pahala, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar last night.

The incident took place around 2.30 am on Friday night, reports said.

Pahala Fire Services unit received a call at about 2.30 am regarding the accident in front of the Utkal Hyundai on NH 16. The personnel immediately reached the spot and rescued three persons from the mangled vehicle.

All of them were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack where doctors declared two of them dead. Another injured is undergoing treatment in a critical condition.

The car (OD02 BE 4699) coming from Cuttack side hit the back side of the stationary truck.

The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained.
