Nuapada: Two persons were killed and as many sustained serious injuries after two trucks collided head-on at Taraboda here on Saturday night. One of the deceased has been identified as Abhishek, who was driving a truck from Rayagada towards Nuapada. The identity of the second casualty is yet to be ascertained.
The two injured persons have been shifted to Nuapada district headquarters hospital. According to reports, the two trucks, one from Chhatisgarh and the other from Rayagada collided head-on while trying to maneuver crossing each other. The impact was so severe that two persons died on the spot.
Police have registered a case and sent the bodies for autopsy.
