Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed and four critically injured in two separate road accidents in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Thursday night.
The first accident occurred at Bhujabal village under Chandili police limits of the district. The accident occurred when motorbikes collided head-on killing one person on the spot and injuring two others while they were returning from the Rayagada Jekepur Dushar festival. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh.
In another accident, one person was killed and two injured when a motorbike crashed against a tree in Jodamba within the Kashipur police limits.
In both instances, locals rescued the injured and rushed them to nearby medical facilities. Police have seized both the motorbikes and initiated separate investigations into the accidents.
