Angul: Two persons were killed and four injured in two road mishaps which occurred in the district today.
In the first incident, one Sanjay Dash of Khurda was killed and Pramod Sahu was seriously injured after being hit by a truck at CPP Square near Nalco.
The duo were returning from Bhushan Steel Plant when the mishap took place. Locals staged an agitation in the area following the accident.
In another incident, one person was killed and one injured after two motorcycles collided head-on at Mahurapani Chowk in Nampasi panchayat under Pallahara police limits. The mishap took place at 2 pm in the afternoon.
Pallahara police have seized the vehicles and registered a case of unnatural death. The injured person has been shifted to a local hospital.
