Khordha/Keonjhar: Two persons were killed in separate elephant attack incidents in Khordha and Keonjhar districts of Odisha on Sunday night.
One person was killed and another critically injured after being attacked by an elephant at Siko village under Jankia police limits of Khordha.
The deceased identified as Ratnakar Behera and his associate had gone to check paddy at his field when he was attacked by an elephant. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Another person was killed after being attacked by an elephant at Nischintapur village under Champua range in Keonjhar.
The deceased identified as Bhima Munda had been trampled by an elephant. He was rushed to Champua hospital but he died on the way.
