Keonjhar/Bhubaneswar: Two people were killed in two separate road accidents in different regions of Odisha during the past 24 hours.
The first accident was reported from the Bargarh district of the state where a middle-aged man was run over by a speeding four-wheeler while he was out for a morning walk in the Paikmal area of the district on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Hariram Agrawal.
According to reports, a speeding vehicle hit Hariram from behind killing him on the spot while he was out for a morning walk. On being informed, police arrived at the spot, seized the body, and sent it for autopsy.
In the second mishap, a truck driver was killed after his vehicle overturned near Shaalpada overbridge under Ghashipura police limits on National Highway No.20 in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Wednesday early morning. The driver died on the spot as he was crushed under the iron ore-laden truck. The truck was on its way to Paradip.
