Two Killed, Minor Critically Injured In Motorcycle Collision In Balasore

Balasore: A tragic collision between two motorcycles claimed the lives of two individuals and left a minor boy critically injured in Nilagiri town in Balasore district, on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Chandra Sekhar Patra from Nilagiri and Akshaya Kumar Jena from Remuna. The accident occurred near Simulia Chhak in Nilagiri town when the two motorcycles collided.

Chandra Sekhar Patra, one of the riders, died instantly at the crash site. The other rider, a college student, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Nilagiri Sub-divisional Hospital by local residents. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

A minor boy, who was also critically injured in the mishap, received initial treatment at Nilagiri Sub-divisional Hospital. As his condition worsened, he was shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital for advanced care.

Police have seized both motorcycles involved in the collision and have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
