Balasore(Soro): Two persons were killed and another was injured in a lightning strike at Raipitamber village under Soro police limits in Balasore district on Saturday.
While the deceased have been identified as Basanta Das and Narendra Biswal, the injured person has been identified as Surendra Sahoo. They all hail from Raipitamber village.
According to reports, lightning struck Basanta Das, Narendra Biswal and Surendra Sahoo were working in the field on Saturday afternoon when tragedy in the form of lightning struck them.
They were rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Soro by their family members.
However, doctors at the CHC declared Basanta Das and Narendra Biswal dead. The condition of Surendra Sahoo is stated to be critical.
