**Bhubaneswar:** Two persons were killed and over 30 were injured in two separate road mishaps in Khurda and Bhadrak district of Odisha.
Reportedly, two persons riding in a 407 truck were crushed to death after the vehicle hit the rear of a standing goods-laden truck near Chandpur by-pass in Khurda district last night. The driver of the 407 truck managed to jump off the vehicle and survived with minor injuries.
The deceased were identified as Aparti Biswal and Jitendra Pradhan, both residents of Kuhudi village under Tangi police limits of Khurda district.
On getting information, police reached the spot and cleared the road with help of a JCB. Police has also seized the bodies and vehicles and have initiated a probe.
Likewise, nearly 30 persons were injured after a bus collided head-on with a laden truck near Kuamara square on Cuttack-Dhamra road in Bhadrak district today.
The bus was on its way to Cuttack from Dhamra when it was hit by a goods-laden truck coming from the opposite direction.
The injured were first rushed to Basudevpur Community Health Centre (CHC) and later shifted to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
