Sundargarh: Two persons were killed and three others critically injured after a SUV collided head-on with a Hyva on National Highway 143 in under Chandiposh police limits Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Aditya Raul and Bipin Sethi. Two of the injured are Sahawi Sahu and Sheikh Ramzan and they are undergoing treatment at the Rourkela Government Hospital. The third injured has been admitted to a private nursing home as his condition deteriorated.
According to reports, the accident took place near Chanidposh after a speeding truck (Hyva) hit an SUV (Scorpio). The SUV was completely damaged and the driver died after being trapped inside it.
On being informed, Fire Services personnel and police reached the accident spot and initiated rescue operation. Police have impounded the two vehicles and are investigating the incident.
