Bhubaneswar: Two low-pressure areas have developed over the Bay of Bengal, with active cyclonic circulation influencing their formation. These systems are likely to intensify further within the next 24 hours, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The regional weather office has predicted heavy rainfall in various parts of the country due to these weather systems.
An orange warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh districts by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) due to the anticipated severe weather conditions. Additionally, nine districts have been placed under a yellow alert, indicating potential heavy rainfall and strong winds.
According to the IMD’s forecast, heavy rainfall is expected in Odisha on June 18, 19, and 20. Furthermore, the southwestern monsoon is likely to advance over the state in the next 24 hours, bringing favourable conditions for further rainfall.
