Malkangiri: The Chhattisgarh Police have achieved yet another success in its offensive against the outlawed Maoists on Wednesday.
Two Maoist leaders with hefty prize money on their heads were gunned down by the police in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur neighbouring Odisha’s Malkangiri district during an encounter in Baddepara forest under Madded police limits today morning.
Police recovered the bodies of the two slain Maoists, including Manila who had Rs 8 lakh prize money on his head, were recovered from the Baddepara forest. Bijapur SP Jitendra Jacob said that the number of casualties may increase.
