Two Minor Boys Missing At Gulmi Waterfall In Koraput

Bhubaneswar: Two minor boys went missing while shooting reels at the popular Gulmi waterfall in Koraput district on Monday.

The victims, residents of Kosagumuda block in Nabarangpur district, were part of a group of five friends visiting the tourist spot.

According to reports, the mishap occurred when the boys slipped accidentally and were swept away by the strong current while filming near the waterfall. Despite their friends’ immediate attempts to raise an alarm, the two were carried underwater within seconds.

Following the incident, personnel from the Kotpad Fire Brigade and local police arrived at the scene and launched an intensive search and rescue operation. Efforts to locate the missing boys were still underway at the time of reporting.
