**Jajpur:** Two minor girls died after drowning in a pond at Kurkura village under Kuakhia police limits of Jajpur district today.
The deceased were identified as Roshni, daughter of Bipin Swain and Sangita, daughter of Hrushikesh Swain, both residents of Nathuabar panchayat.
Reportedly, the two drowned while playing alongside a pond near their village Anganwadi centre today morning.
They were rescued by villagers and first rushed to Madhuban Community Health Centre (CHC) but later shifted to Jajpur district headquarters hospital (DHH) where doctor declared them brought dead.
