Two Minor Girls Die After Falling Into Pit In Odisha’s Malkangiri

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, two minor girls died after they accidentally fell into a water-filled pit at Dhepasahi in Malkangiri district on Thursday.

According to reports, the mishap occurred when the two girls were playing near the pit that was dug for constructing a road in the area.

When the girls did not return home, their family members started searching for them frantically. Sometime later, the girls were discovered inside the pit. After rescuing the girls their family members and locals rushed them to a nearby health facility where the doctors declared them brought dead.

On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter. The bodies of the minors were sent for post-mortem.
