Bhubaneswar: Two minor girls, aged about 12 and 14 years respectively have been gang raped by two miscreants at Patia railway station on Monday night. Bhubaneswar Childline reported the matter to Infocity Police and rescued both children.
“As described by the survivors, they live with their family in Patia area. The girls are under trauma. They will need counselling and the Child Welfare Committee is closely monitoring the situation,” Director, Childline, Benudhar Senapati said.
“Last evening, both of them went to Patia railway station when two boys of this area kidnapped them and took them to the railway overbridge. Today morning the girls were released and on reaching home they shared the ordeal with their parents. The miscreants even offered money to keep the matter under wraps, reports stated.
