Mayurbhanj: In a tragic incident, two minor sisters drowned to death while bathing in a pond in Tratappur village under Badsahi police limits of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.
The victims have been identified as Surekha Nayak (15) and Lily Nayak (17).
According to reports, the two sisters had gone to take a bath in the village fish farming pond on Monday. However, they slipped and drowned in the deep waters.
Later, local villagers saw their bodies floating in the pond and rescued them. They were rushed to the Baripada PRM Medical College and Hospital, but the doctor declared them brought dead.
