Rayagada: Two minor boys have been fined Rs 25,000 each in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Tuesday during the ongoing special enforcement drive against underage driving launched by the State Transport Authority (STA) across the state from today.
According to reports, the RTO personnel intercepted two minor bikers when they were passing through Rayagada town today morning. A hefty sum of Rs 50,000 was collected from them as fines for violating traffic rules.
The RTO has not revealed the identity of the minors.
It is worth mentioning that the special drive will be mainly focused on the areas near schools and colleges. The special drive will be conducted from March 28 and continue until April’s first week.
As per STA, strict action will be taken against the violators and a hefty fine of Rs 25,000 will be imposed for driving without a license during the special drive.
