Bhubaneswar: Two more alleged sunstroke death cases have been reported in Odisha during the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Office of Special Relief Commissioner at 6.00 PM on Wednesday.
The release said that as on June 4, a total of 149 alleged sunstroke death cases have been reported by the Collectors.
“During this summer cumulatively 151 alleged sunstroke death cases have been reported. As per the detailed enquiry concluded, 36 deaths are due to heatwave and 31 cases are not due to heatwave. 84 cases are under inquiry at district level,” the release added.
