Bhadrak: In an awful incident, two persons were mowed down by a truck near Ugratara Chhak on Bhadrak-Chandabali road in Odisha’s Bhadrak districts in the early hours of Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Prashant Behera Tadusahi and Munna Sahoo of Sainta village in the district.
According to reports, Munna and Prashant were returning to Chandabali from Bhadrak on a motorcycle this morning when the rider of the bike lost control of the vehicle and hit another motorcycle. The impact of the collision was so high that the duo fell off the bike and was run over by a truck coming from Chandabali.
On being informed by the local residents, local police and Fire Services department personnel rushed to the accident spot and launched a rescue operation. The police seized the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
Police have also seized the killer truck and an investigation into the incident is underway.
